Below you will find one FAQ (list of frequently asked questions). Do you have a question about accessibility, opening hours or other practical questions about the Tour of Flanders Center in these bizarre times of the coronavirus? Then check out our section about CORONA.

General measures

What we do for the health and safety of each of us?

  • One-way street: both in the exhibition area (-1) and on the ground floor there is one-way traffic with the aim of avoiding crossing. An extra exit has been created on the ground floor. The same rule applies in the Paterbergzaal: clockwise inside and outside, do not intersect.
  • Ticketing and checkout: Buying an exhibition ticket is done online and payments for the shop are preferably cashless.
  • Counting system: via online ticketing we guarantee that a maximum of 30 people will be present in the exhibition space at the same time.
  • Hand hygiene: hand gel dispensers are provided at various places to regularly disinfect the hands.
  • Supervision: there will be regular monitoring of compliance with the principles. Not to annoy visitors, but to guarantee safety.
  • Hygiene: the various public contact points (door handles, toilets, etc.) are carefully cleaned several times every day.
  • Mouth mask: When entering the Tour of Flanders Center, wearing a mouth mask is mandatory.

When will the exhibition reopen?

We are eager to open the exhibition on Monday, May 18. To ensure that everything runs safely, we ask you to observe the measures carefully. The basic principles are simple:

  • Keep five feet apart
  • Practice good hand hygiene
  • Touch as few things as possible

We had adjusted the prices as the Peloton Café was closed and no consumption was possible after the exhibition visit. In the meantime, the normal rates are used back:

  • free for children under 6 years old
  • 6 euros for students
  • 12 euros for adults

Do I have to book my exhibition visit or can I buy a ticket at the counter?

In order to guarantee a smooth and safe course, we recommend that you book and purchase the entrance tickets online in advance. Please respect the chosen time.

What do I have to take into account during my visit?

What do I have to take into account during my exhibition visit?

In the exhibition space you follow a fixed route, with one-way traffic. It is not possible to return to a previous zone of the exhibition. Keep five feet away from visitors who do not belong to your “bubble” (read: roommates). The interactive parts (virtual reality, quiz, cobblestone bike, etc.) are currently not accessible.

Group visits are possible, but as a precaution, the group is divided into smaller groups of 10 people.

Can I change before or after a bike ride or take a shower with you?

These facilities can only be used after reservation (by phone or by mail). The toilets are of course always accessible.

When is the RondeShop open again and what are the opening hours?

The RondeShop is open again from Tuesday 12 May to Saturday 16 May. From Monday 18 May we will be open again 7/7. Always from 10am to 6pm.

Can I try on (cycling) clothing?

Can I try on (cycling) clothing?

This is possible in the appropriate fitting rooms. For health reasons, we expressly request that you hang appropriate clothing that is not being purchased on the rack provided. Would you rather fit at home? This is also no problem, we extend our return policy to one month after purchase.

What should I take into account when meeting?

What should I take into account when meeting?

What are the opening hours of the Tour of Flanders Center?

The Tour of Flanders Center is every day open from 10am to 6pm.

Is the Tour of Flanders Center open on Sundays and public holidays?

With the exception of December 25 and January 1, the Tour of Flanders Center is open all year round.

We are therefore also open on the following holidays in 2019:

  • Easter Monday (22/04)
  • Labor Day (01/05)
  • Ascension Day (05/30)
  • Whit Monday (10/06)
  • National holiday (21/07)
  • Assumption of the Virgin Mary (15/08)
  • All Saints' Day (01/11)
  • Armistice Day (11/11)

Is there parking near the Tour of Flanders Center?

Is there parking near the Center Tour of Flanders?

Yes, both free and paying parking:

  • Paying: Market, Minderbroedersplein and Tacambaro.
  • Free: The ham, Meerspoort and Behind the Guard. 

Is the Tour of Flanders Center accessible for disabled people?

Is the Tour of Flanders Center accessible for disabled people?

Yes, all public areas in the Tour of Flanders Center are accessible for disabled people. A lift is provided to go to the exhibition space (-1). There is one wheelchair available. If necessary, please book via info@crvv.be. There are parking spaces reserved for the disabled at the Minderbroedersplein (Map). There is an adapted toilet on the ground floor.

How can I reach the Tour of Flanders Center?

How can I reach the Tour of Flanders Center?

The Tour of Flanders Center is located in the center of the city of Oudenaarde (Flemish Ardennes / East Flanders). The address is Markt 43, 9700 Oudenaarde. We give you an overview for the different means of transport (bicycle, public transport, car):

  • Bicycle

The town hall is within walking distance of the junction (no. 96) at the Center Tour of Flanders of the cycling network Flemish Ardennes. The center has bicycle sheds.

  • Train

Station: Oudenaarde

The easiest way to reach the center is by following the Stationstraat to the Tacambaroplein and further the Hoog- or Neerstraat to the market. 

  • Bus

Stop: Oudenaarde market

  • Bus (groups)

Groups can get off at the entrance of the Tour of Flanders Center. The bus can then park on the before provided parking.

  • Dial-a-bus

To make a reservation you can call 09 210 94 94 or via the website of De Lijn.

  • Autocar (groups)

Groups can get off at the entrance of the Tour of Flanders Center. The coach can then park in the parking lot provided for this purpose the ham, in the vicinity of the city center.

  • Car

From Brussels:

Take the E40 and A10 towards the coast. Take the Zwijnaarde exit and merge onto the A14 / E17 towards Kortrijk. Take exit 8-De Pinte to N 60 towards Oudenaarde / Nazareth. Turn right at N60 / Nieuwe Steenweg. Continue on the N60. Take the exit N453 towards Avelgem / Petegem / Kortrijk / Oudenaarde. Turn left at the Minderbroederstraat / N453 and follow until the roundabout. Go straight on at the roundabout. 

From Ghent:

Take the E17 towards Kortrijk. Take exit 8-De pinte to N60 towards Oudenaarde / Nazareth. Turn right at N60 / Nieuwe Steenweg. Continue on the N60. Take the exit N453 towards Avelgem / Petegem / Kortrijk / Oudenaarde. Turn left at the Minderbroederstraat / N453. Go straight on at the roundabout.

From Kortrijk:

Take the A14 / E17 towards Kortrijk-Oost / Gent / R8. Take exit 6-Kruishoutem towards N459. Go straight over one roundabout. Turn right and merge onto N60. Take the exit N453 towards Avelgem / Petegem / Kortrijk / Oudenaarde. Turn left at the Minderbroedersstraat / N453. Go straight on at the roundabout.

  • Boat

Just outside the city center of Oudenaarde, between the lock and the drawbridge, is the marina located. The jetty has a length of 350 meters. The jetty is also accessible for disabled people.

Are pets allowed?

Can I bring my pet to the Center Tour of Flanders or Peloton Café?

Pets are for hygiene reasons not allowed. We kindly ask you to keep your pets on a leash outside. Attention! We do make an exception for assistance dogs that accompany blind and partially sighted people.

Can I enter the RondeShop without an exhibition ticket?

Can I enter the Rondeshop without any obligation without a ticket for the exhibition space? 

Of course! The Center Tour of Flanders team will advise and assist you if you have any questions or need advice on the products of the RondeShop.

Can I also make my purchases online? 

Yes, you can use our Online store order your purchases online.

Can I get more information about cycling routes?

Can I find more information about the cycling routes in the Flemish Ardennes?

You can purchase various cycling maps at the desk:

  • Cycling network Flemish Ardennes
  • Map with cycling loops (blue, yellow, red) that contain a part of the Tour of Flanders. You can also buy a card at the counter.
  • GPX files of different loops and partner routes can be found on our website

Can I rent a bike in the Tour of Flanders Center?

Through the Ride Like a Pro package you can experience the Tour experience firsthand. You can rent a carbon or aluminum bike (Specialized, Ridley or Trek) for the day. You can also rent extra accessories such as GPS, helmet, click pedals and click shoes. In addition, you can also take a shower afterwards with us via Shower like a Pro (2 euros). Can I bring my bicycle inside and store it at your place?

Can I bring my bicycle inside and store it indoors?

You certainly can. There are four hanging systems at the entrance door of the Tour of Flanders Center, but the yellow wall at the desk and the gate towards the Peloton Café can also be used to store your bicycle. The desk clerk (s) of the Center Tour of Flanders ensure social control, but cannot be held liable for accidents. So if you have a bicycle lock with you, we recommend that you use it to be on the safe side.

How much does an exhibition ticket cost?

What are the rates of the exhibition tickets? Below is an overview: 

  • Adult: 12 euros (including virtual reality)
  • Student: 6 euros (on presentation of student card)
  • Children <6 years: free
  • Group (from 15 people): 7.50 euros

Buy an exhibition ticket and also enjoy some advantages: free consumption in the Peloton Café (worth 2.60 euros) 10% discount in the RondeShop.

How long does a visit to the exhibition space take?

How much time should I allow for a visit to the exhibition?

A visit to the exhibition space takes approx 1h to 1h15min. depending on the pace and depends on whether or not you participate in the virtual reality experience. Children who complete the Tour van Varken course are approx 45 min. busy.

When can I buy my exhibition ticket at the latest before closing time?

Since a visit to the exhibition space takes approximately 1 hour, we recommend that you purchase your exhibition ticket at the latest by 5:00 PM.

Can I book a guided tour?

Can I book a guided tour for my visit to the exhibition space? Is that also possible in the evening? 

Yes, there are several options. You can choose from city guides (75 euros excl. VAT) as well as former professional cyclists Freddy Maertens (200 euros excl. VAT) and Johan Museeuw (300 euros excl. VAT). In the evening you can also book a guided tour. Please note: from 6 pm an extra fee (35 euros / h) is asked for permanence.

A guided tour is of course available on request by telephone or via mail.

How can I rent a bicycle?

How can I rent a bike through Ride like a Pro ?

  1. You choose one via Ride like a Pro bike of your choice and optionally additional accessories (GPS, helmet, shoes, pedals) Attention: e-bikes can only be rented by telephone or e-mail! 
  2. You choose one rental period (start and end date)
  3. You take the general provisions by and if you are not yet insured, you decide whether to insured or not to be.
  4. Insurance: if you want to insure yourself, you go for a membership at Cycling Vlaanderen. If not, you sign a document from when you collect the bicycle distance of story.
  5. You will be forwarded to the payment environment and pay via Paypal or Bancontact.

You will then receive an email from us with all the details.

Is there insurance that I can take out?

Is there insurance that I can take out?

There is indeed insurance that you can take out. For this we work together with Cycling Vlaanderen. You can insure yourself for physical accidents and breakdown assistance through them. This comes up 30 euros for a full year.

Can I choose not to insure myself?

Can I choose not to insure myself?

Yes, that's possible. Then you need to sign a waiver of liability document against the landlord. This means that you (renter) will in no way be able to hold the lessor (CRVV) liable for any accidents, not even if they could be a direct result of the use of the bicycle. What can I rent from extra accessories?

It is possible to rent a helmet (Lazer), shoes (Shimano), pedals (SPD-SL) and a GPS. The first three are offered together in 1 package:

  • Helmet, shoes & pedals:

What is MICE?

MICE stands for M.dining (meetings), I.ncentives (motivational trips), C.onventions (conferences) and Exhibitions (fairs). We make our location and facilities available for every type of visit motive and we try to provide the best possible answer to the wishes of the visitor.

Yes, that's possible. We have 2 rooms that are suitable for room rental, namely the Paterbergzaal (small hall) and the Kwaremontzaal (large hall). Below some specifications of the 2 rooms in question:

Of course. It is possible to provide breakfast with coffee and / or tea. For that, you should focus on it Platoon Café. They will be happy to help you further.
